Greenish earthernware clay vase with a sage green crackle glaze This vase was made in 1885 at Rookwood Pottery in Cincinnati and designed by Albert R. Valentine. It shows an owl perched in an evergreen tree with a sliver of moon in the background. Rookwood is the most famous of the art potteries of the Arts and Crafts period.
