Collection of Automobile Emblems
1890s - 1950s
Radiator emblems from classic cars
This selection of radiator emblems from classic automobiles is part of a 278-piece collection donated to the Smithsonian by collector Hubert G. Larson. Larson built his collection by scavenging junkyards and trading with other collectors. Most are made of porcelain or enameled steel. Before giving his collection to the Smithsonian, Larson enjoyed showing the emblems at hobby shows.
