Carmelite Postcard
1930

"America's Favorite Place of Pilgrimage": Hubertus, Wisconsin
Although the claims of this postcard booklet are somewhat exaggerated, the Carmelite monastery at Holy Hill in Hubertus, WI, has been highly popular with Catholic visitors since its establishment in 1907.

Notes
The origin of the name "Carmelite" derives from Mount Carmel in Palestine, where a group of monks established a monastery in 1155.
