Artist's Studio Print
1982

"My Studio"
This print--and the engraved wood block from which it came--was made by Herbert Waters. A New Hampshire illustrator, engraver, and printer, Waters began his craft in the 1930s as a Works Project Administration artist. His work focused on images of humans in nature. This print and its block record the artist's impression of the studio in which he worked from the 1950s to the 1990s.
