Land agent in Willard, Wisconsin
This business card belonged to Ignac Cesnik, a Slovenian immigrant who operated as a land agent in Willard, WI, from 1908 to 1930. Working among Wisconsin's Slovenian farming community, he sold more than 30,000 acres of land at $5 per acre. For his efforts, Cesnik earned a 20 percent commission--$1 for every acre sold.
