Chris Evert's Tennis Racket
1970s-1980s
Baseline bludgeon
This broken-stringed Wilson once belonged to Chris Evert, one of the top female tennis players in the 1970s and 1980s. Evert's silent and determined attitude--along with her steady baseline playing style and powerful two-hand backhand--made her an extremely successful competitor. She won more than 100 titles and was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1995.
